About Us

Who we are...

We are a local non-profit located in Templeton, CA supporting the needs of cancer patients and their families FREE of charge for non-medical and psychosocial needs.

Backed by evidence that the best cancer care includes social and emotional support, Cancer Support Community offers these services free of charge to the whole family, no matter the stage of the patient’s cancer or recovery.

Our local office started in 2006 when Deborah Longo and Justin Baldwin, who were raising a young family at the time, were both diagnosed with different cancers within hours of each other and couldn’t find any local resources to help them through their struggles. Together they decided, with the help of several of their friends, to start the Cancer Support Community - CA Central Coast, which would aid families in their time of need.

We have recently moved our offices to Templeton to further support our patients by being located right in the hub of north county medical offices, thus enabling patients to get to us with greater ease and between other scheduled appointments.

Our model

Our national non-profit organization has more than 50 years of collective experience and provides evidence-based support for people impacted by cancer.

Through our Patient Active Model, we empower the patient and family to participate both in their treatment team and decisions, while increasing their quality of life.

We are a part of your cancer care team – how and when you need us!
